In short: this site uses no analytics tools. Data only goes to Meta if you explicitly agree. Films from Vimeo only load when you start them. Below you’ll find exactly what happens and when.

Hosting with Cloudflare

This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, a service of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser and operating system, and the page you came from. This is needed to deliver the site and protect it from attacks.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in a secure and fast site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement is in place with Cloudflare. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which ensures an adequate level of protection for transfers to the USA. More: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy

Fonts

The fonts are stored on this server. Opening the site does not connect to Google Fonts or any other font provider.

Your choice about the Meta Pixel

Whether or not you agree to the Meta Pixel is stored in your browser’s local storage (localStorage), so you aren’t asked again on every visit. This never leaves your browser, and you’ll be asked again after twelve months. The legal basis is § 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page.

Meta Pixel (only with your consent)

I run ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you agree, this site loads the Meta Pixel from Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. It lets me see whether my ads work, for example whether an enquiry follows a click on an ad, and show ads to people interested in wedding films and photos. Visitors to this site may also be shown my ads on Facebook or Instagram later.

This transfers, among other things, your IP address, browser and device information, the pages you visit and events such as a submitted enquiry to Meta. The content of your enquiry is not transferred. The pixel sets cookies (for example “_fbp”). If you are logged in to Facebook or Instagram, Meta can link the visit to your account.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings”. Meta and I are joint controllers for collecting and transmitting the data (Art. 26 GDPR), see the agreement with Meta. Meta alone is responsible for any further processing. Data may be transferred to Meta Platforms, Inc. in the USA, which is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: facebook.com/privacy/policy

Enquiry form

When you submit the form, your details (interest, names, date, venue, message, email and, if given, phone number) are sent to my inbox via the Web3Forms service. I only use them to reply to your enquiry and send you a quote. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). More about Web3Forms: web3forms.com/privacy

If the connection fails, your email app opens instead with the enquiry ready to send. The message then goes directly from you to me.

Contact by email, phone and WhatsApp

If you email or call me, I process your details to reply to you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The WhatsApp button is a plain link: only when you tap it does WhatsApp open, a service of WhatsApp Ireland Limited, Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. Their privacy policy applies there.

I delete enquiries once they are settled and no statutory retention periods apply. If an enquiry leads to a booking, I keep the records for as long as commercial and tax law require.

Films from Vimeo

The films are stored on Vimeo, a service of Vimeo.com, Inc., 330 West 34th Street, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10001, USA. Until you start a film, the site only shows a still image from my own server, and there is no connection to Vimeo. The Vimeo player only loads when you click “Play”. Vimeo then receives your IP address and technical information about your device. The player runs with the “Do Not Track” setting so that Vimeo does not analyse your behaviour.

The legal basis is your consent by clicking (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TDDDG). Vimeo is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. More: vimeo.com/privacy

Links to Instagram and Google

The links to my Instagram profile and my Google reviews are plain links. Nothing from Instagram or Google is loaded into this site. Only when you click a link do you go to Meta or Google, where their privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You have the right at any time to

• access the data I hold about you (Art. 15 GDPR),
• rectification (Art. 16 GDPR) and erasure (Art. 17 GDPR),
• restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR),
• data portability (Art. 20 GDPR),
• object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21 GDPR),
• withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR).

An email to info@make-moments.de is enough. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. Mine is the Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen, Kavalleriestraße 2–4, 40213 Düsseldorf, Germany.

The German version of this policy is legally binding.
